888poker recently released a full, native Mac client for its poker software, opening the floodgates for an entirely new market segment for the site. In addition to the Mac client, 888 also has a mobile client for its software, meaning poker players can get in a game on most of their preferred devices.

888's Mac and mobile apps are also excellent news for the company's poker partners in the U.S., as those compatabilities will roll over into the States. Caesars Interactive Entertainment's WSOP.com, for instance, runs on the 888poker software platform, so it is likely that Mac and mobile versions of the site will appear shortly. The 888 mobile app is of particular importance considering New Jersey is allowing mobile real-money gaming when Internet gambling goes live in the state. That being the case, any of 888s partners likely will see the benefit of the mobile-gaming demographic.
