Looks like WSOP is going to start running online satellites for most WSOP events. Pretty exciting! It's what they should have doing a long time ago! Think the Main Event gets over 10k players because of this?

    Depends. There's a chance to run some cheap satellites and really cash in. If they're just running big buy-ins, they'll struggle.

    No. They'll find a way to mess it up somehow.

    I'll be ready to play. Trust me, it'll beat playing my way and spending a ton of time on live satellites.

    Step levels along with direct satellites for Main Event and reasonable satellites for smaller buy-in events. Get 'em in town and let greed do the rest!

    $50 x 200 players = 10k. Don't have to be a genius to figure that out.

    One thing the World Poker Tour does well is when their Club WPT qualifiers get to events they feature them and remind everyone to play there. WSOP shouldn't just be doing this with the series in Vegas but all over. Fly some people around to circuit events and so on. The ME could reach 10k players in a few years if they do this right. I think they'll be happy if they can get back to 7k to start.
