Would you believe I have to go to Portland for a convention for work? They could have had it here in Vegas but NOOOOOO. So is there any place decent to play up there?

    There are actually a few good rooms up there. Check out Encore and Players Club for sure.

    Encore Club in NW Portland is by far one of the best rooms in Portland. If you're a tournament player, they have an $8K guarantee every Saturday night at 7pm and its only a $60 buy-in. If you prefer cash, they also have $1/$2 NL Shootouts from 6:30pm to close every night and there's no rake!

    I think I'd rather be at a convention in Philly or Pittsburgh than Portland. But have a good trip up there. You'll survive.
