14 days of poker in vegas
Monte Carlo: Thanks to all who have posted before about this room, It was everything it is said to be. I played 2-4 limit here with a very tight agressive style. i made a 84.00 profit in about 8 hours. Nice little room, great management, dealers, waitresses, and people at my table. This is the room for average players looking to have a good time playing poker.
Bally's:No 2-4 limit games at Ballys. Played 3-6 limit. The room is actually off the side of the casino with a seperating wall. Was dissapointed in the management, waited over an hour for a table and then when the first seat became available another dealer just told some guy watching his table to sit down, he was not on the list either. I complained a little and finally the desk manager made this huge deal about how he had to get up cause i just couldnt wait for another seat. Anyway, dealers were good, drinks were fast, players at the table were fun. Another nice room for limit fun. made a 45.00 profit in 11 hours. Lots of players to the flop and lots of landmines to dodge around in here.
Imperial Palace: Just went in to play for a little while at another room. Stay Away unless 8-9 players to the flop and 6-7 to the river is your game. All the people at my table were staying there and at least half didnt know the rules. Most hands took forever while the dealer explained bet limits, whose blind and why, and so on. one player at the table couldnt see the cards and the dealer would have to tell her every card and what it was. Lost about 60.00 here. Not much fun here.
Venetian: WOW. a beutiful room, great dealers, the most honest game I played in. These are poker players here. Played 1-3 no limit. Saw very few bad beats, just good hands played well. TIGHT AGRESSIVE is my game and it worked well. If a good, honest, straight forward game is what you seek play here. Only complaint I had was the Air freshener they pump in is overpowering. Profited 418.00 in 9 hours.
T.I.: Very nice little room away from the casino and right down from the mirage tram. which was is where i stayed. Played my only tournament here. Was okay but once there were 10 of us left the blinds had gotten to the point where it turned to an all-in fest. 2 players later I lost my race and went out 8th. played three sessions of 2-4 here at around 9 hours each. Very good experience with no complaints. 2 winning sessions for 95.00 profit, but 1 bad session were i had really good starting hands but lost out by the river. Lost the whole 100.00 buy in.
Mirage: played here 7 sessions. 3-6 limit six times and one 1-3 no limit session. I was staying here so thats why so much poker here. The management, especially at night, was very snooty. everything else was great. Now to the players, (3-6 limit)Almost as bad as Imperial palace, More people playing for the first or second time with no idea of the rules. Sometimes I dont think some players knew you could fold! They were there to play and they played everything. It was impossible to avoid bad beats. My strategy was to win enough on good hands to survive the beats. 2 sessions i lost the 120.00 buy in. 2 sessions i made a 65 and 75 dollar profit. 1 session i broke even. And luckily I doubled up at 1 session. My last night there I decided to play 1-3 no limit. Lost my first 125.00 buy in on a bad read. bought in again and really tightened up. Ended that session up 428.00 Mostly on a hand with my AA against KK. To sum the whole trip, Play 2-4 limit or 3-6 limit to enjoy poker, have a good time, and hope to make a little profit. The no limit game is for those who want to play a little more seriuos game and play for a better profit. A loooong post but im done. Thanks to all who have posted before, i used that info alot on my trip.
