5 Days of Non-Stop Poker
Flew in Monday Evening and by 7:30 We were checked in at the Orleans and playing poker. The previous reviews of the Orleans were pretty accuate as this room was full of locals. However, being a Local does not mean they are a good player. They were very easy to read as they played very few hands and were afraid to lose money. One time while playing 4/8 Omaha H/L the average age of the table was nearly 85 years old, no joke! Pretty easy room to win money at though.
Tuesday - Started off playing the 130$ tourney at Caesars. Excellent Structure, got plenty of chips and had lots of time to use them. However, my top 2 of Aces and Queens were put out by a lady catchin a set of jacks on the river, go figure. After being knocked out, joined the 1/2 NL cash game and made a few hundred. I have to say that I fell in love with this room through the week. I played here an average of 14-15 hrs a day, and absolutely loved every minute of it.
Wed. - Played the 2/5 NL and 8/16 Limit at Bellagio. An absolutely beautiful hotel, however, I couldnt get much going card wise. Hit one set, and was set over setted on the turn, ended up losing 150 for the day. Also went to the Mirage and played later in the afternoon. Not a bad room, pretty easy competition. However, the drink service was REALLLLLY slow.
Thursday and Friday - Played mostly at Caesars waiting for all the sports bettors to come in. Pretty easy, as most of the guys were more worried about their sports bets then trying to win money playing poker. Also played the 2AM Aladdin tourney thursday night/friday morning. Really easy competition, cashed and got my money back. Then played in their N/L game and won 200$. Played a few hours on friday before our flight left won about a hundred before I had to catch my flight. Overall a Fantastic trip, can't wait to go back. Although, I will definitely be staying at or near Caesars next time.
Overall Winnings - 820$
