I made a donkey play that put me out -solid player raised my bb to 40000 I look down to AK pushed
solid player has KK ouch -hey haw and I am out
I was hoping he had QQ or less and would lay down
bad play - learned alot

only complaint- three tables went to two (had to redraw for new seat) - had to go thru four straight blinds at 4000-8000 -cost me 24000plus antes - no way this is fair -hurt my chances to win tourney.
all in all Caesars does a great job hosting - beautiful room
great tournament
didn't like to redraw for new table - it's just a luck factor on the redraw - worked to hard for 14 hours to get messed over.the guy 2 to my left went 18 hands without having to post a blind ?????????????? how is this fair?
Caesars really needs to look at this.
Sorry just had to vent a little.

  1. @gout111

Sorry about how the table breakdown worked out for you, but over time it works out more fairly than any other method. Just like you can hit runs where you don't flop a set w/a pocket pair for days, then hit 4 in a row. It's a similar "luck of the draw" situation that I think is vastly superior to any alternatives we can think of. Even if we make the 3rd table a 'broken table', you could still end up with a similar result. Glad you made it to that level, though!!!

  2. Thanks for the nice tournament report. Was this the June 11 Event #13 and did it start with 320 players?

To either poster, how long are each of the breaks? After which level is the dinner break usually, and how long is it?

First break is 15 minutes, the rest are 10. They come after every other level. The dinner break starts around 7:20-7:30pm, exact time depending on how precisely the startup time and dinner comps handout process goes. The dinner break ends at 8:30 sharp, so that break is 60-65 minutes long.

  4. Lightnin',

Although I know what the suggested arrival time for registration is (for any of the noon mega stacks), what do you personally suggest? Should I come earlier than two hours prior or could I really procastinate and only show up one hour prior?

When in Vegas, time is far too precious and I have all my time pretty much accounted for so that I don't squander any (saving the obligatory water closet breaks that my weak bladder dictates  )

Also, any ballpark for the size of the field in the $235? I thought I saw one report that you guys had a shade under 600 the other day. Is that status quo?

  5. @TopPairNoGood

One hour is good, two is more than you need. 1/2 hour means you'll wait in line. As far as player counts, I think the smallest we've had for a $225 was around 350, the biggest 622, usually over 500.

  6. Thanks for the heads up and, to tell you the truth, that's what I was expecting.

See you guys in a couple of weeks.

  7. I was running late and showed up only 10 minutes before and had no problem getting my seat card. I arrived at my table just before the cards were in the air.
