Easter Week in Vegas

I own timeshares in Vegas so I reserved a week at the Wyndham Grand Desert Resort which has super upscale condo style rooms (we had an 800 sq ft one bedroom unit with Jacuzzi tub).

Anyway, for the first time in several trips, I played only $2/$5 NL and didn't play any $5/$10 NL. I was just doing too well to play higher.

Bottom line, over seven days of poker including the Wynn freeroll (didn't cash) and ended $8,000 up for the trip.

I played $2/$5 NL Saturday and Sunday at the Wynn to qualify for the Monday freeroll (busted out at level 7). Final tally for the Wynn +$3200. The room was pretty busy and well run as usual. Several $2/$5 tables going over the weekend. However, by Monday evening, the room was down to only two $2/$5 tables so I went over to the Venetian where they had 6 or 7 going.

The rest of the week I played $2/$5 NL at the Venetian and never had a losing day there either. Tally for the Venetian was +$4800. The room was packed every evening with great action on the tables. I don't know how much of this was because of the deep stack tourney but I'm sure it helped.

Diana played mainly at the Wynn $1/$3 NL, $1/$2 NL Venetian, $1/$2 NL Flamingo and ended the trip around even. Overall not bad for a week away from work :-)
