Went to Vegas with my sister,Dad, Uncle, and Aunt. My mom and her friend where already there. Thursday: The guys and girls where staying at different hotels. Arrived in Vegas at midnight and went with the family to get the rental car. We drove to circus circus (crappy place but got a decent deal)to check in. After that we took my sister and aunt to harrahs. Even though it wasn't our hotel it became our homebase. I signed up for the total rewards card and headed over to the poker room. Played in a 3/6 limit game and played very tight. finnally flopped top 2 pair on rainbow board. Put in raises on flop and turn villian hit his bottom pair to make set on river. was tired and very pissed that he wasn't a good enough player to recognize he waas beat. went back to the hotel and got some sleep
Friday: Got up and went with my dad and uncle back to harrah's to meet the women for breakfast. Ate at the cafe which was delicious(only meant to eat at every place once but we ended up coming back here again and again)After breakfast I wanted to go for a walk and see the casinos that were there. We walked to bally's and through it to Paris. We then walked across the street to the bellagio. The conservatory was amazing. We then went to Ceasers palace which was pretty cool. We saw the sinking af atlantis show and stopped to have a couple drinks and rest. Then it was off to the Venetian. By this time it was getting a little late because every store we walked past someone would stop to window shop which was driving me nuts. After the venetian we split up with the women going who knows where and the guys heading off to Cesears again. While the room looks great I was dissapointed with the experience. they had no 4/8lhe or higher. they ended up opening another 3/6lhe table in the library i think the dealer called it. they put us all at the same table and we never got our table change. To make matters worse we were the only table in that area so even though we were playing in a huge room we felt like we were alone and the waitress kept forgetting about us. Was no fun so we went back to get some sleep.
Saturday: Woke up and went to Harrahs again and ate in the cafe once more. We all then split up. My Dad, Mom, Sister, and Mom's friend hung out by the pool while I got my Uncle and Aunt to drive me to Binions for the 10000 guarnteed tourney. After dropping me off they went to see the Hoover dam. Played in the tourney and managed to make a couple good plays but I wasn't really able to get any premuim hands. Made 1 semi-bluff with a check-raise on nut flush draw. Later on i was starting to get cold and was actually shivering. This was where I got stupid but didn't get punished for it.I'm in small blind with 62off. It gets folded around to me and I complete.(stupid mistake 1)The flop comes 763 rainbow. Now remember how i said i was shivering. The BB had just been moved there so she couldn't know I was just cold. While I check into her and she bets out 1000. I immedietly raise to 2500(SM2). So there I am shivering away while on what i call a stupid bluff and she starts acting. She finally lays it down and I scoop her chips. I don't make anymore chips but don't pick up any hands either. Finnally short stacked I make my stand in late position with Q10 off just hoping to pick up blinds and antes. get called by pocket 5s and he hits set on the turn.finished 50 out of 148. Plyed in 2/4 table until my ride came. Couldn't believe how tight this table was. i managed to get half my buy-in back when my uncle showed up. The tourney seemed very well run and I enjoyed the experience but the cash game was another matter altogether. i remember someone saying in another report that they got bumped because they didn't awnser immedietly and I saw something similar this time. 3 people signed up for cash games ahead of me and the women said it would be 5-10 minutes and that they should take a walk to pass the time. 2 minutes after they left the room the other women(the same one that was reported earlier)got on the mic and called for them and then gave their seats up. Went back to Harrahs and saw the evening at the improv show. this was hialarious. I couldn't stop laughing to catch my breath. Afterwards went back to freemont with everybody to watch the light show. After seeing two of them I went back to get some sleep. Only full nights sleep I got.
Sunday: Woke up and went to harahs cafe again. After breakfast we all split up with my sister and aunt going to the outlet malls. Me and my mom went to the shark reef and my dad and uncle went to bellagio for some 8/16lhe. The shark reef was cool and then went to the mirage to see the tiger. then my mom went to get ready for the jubilee and i went to harrahs poker room and tried 1/2nl for only the second time. it was a 6handed table to start with and we didn't even have to ask the supervisor told us it would only be 1$ drop until we got more.Bought in for 100. 5th hand in i look at AKo. Under the gun makes it 15$ and I call(please give advise on how I played this hand)The flop comes A107rainbow. With only the 2 of us in the hand he bets out $30. At this point I know I can't call and i've seen this guy at 3/6lhe the other night so i believe he is also inexperinced at nl. I put him all-in and he shows AJo. We had the same amount of money and i felt him.About 15min. goes by and then i see this hand(wish I remembered it better)UTG raises to 10 and gets 4 callers. The flop comes with what seems like a flush draw board and the blinds check. The raiser goes all-in for 90 dollars and everybody calls. The turn comes over and the SB goes all-in for 30. and everybody calls. On the river the BB goes all-in for his last twenty gets 1 caller and the last guy folds an shows his Ahigh flush draw. It ended up being tight over Tight over Tight over two pair(really wish I remeber what the board was for you guys. I know the original raiser had pocket 8s and hit a set on flop). About an hour goes buy and then I get this hand. I'm in BB with A8o. It gets limped to me and the flop comes AJ8 with 2 clubs. The sb made it 15 and I call. All others fold. The turn comes another 8. SB makes it 20 and I call. I know this player to be weak and I kmnow I have him.The river comes and it is blank. He bets out thirty. This is where my read comes into play. Against some of the other players I would have just called worried about JJ. Him I raise all- in and he calls and shows 8j. I felt him and play another 2 orbits with nothing and then leave for the jubilee. that was the last poker I played on the trip. Funny story my dada and Uncle told me. At the Bellagio my dad was playing and had A4 in BB. Nobody raised and he checked. The flop came A4and I don't know with two cards suited(can't remember the suit).The turn comes 4 on the same suit giving my dad the tight and this lady the flush. My dad and Uncle both said she looked like a nice person,easygoing, and relaxed. The hand was capped on the turn and river and she showed the flush J high in her hand amnd the other guy showed 10 high. My dad shows the tight and she starts screaming at the top of her lungs. sShe called him a fucking cocksucker son of a bitch at the top of her lungs so the whole room could here her. She berated my dad for being in the hand with such shit cards. My dad did the only prudent thing to do and laughed at her whcich set her off even more.
