Four Days Four Rooms $200 up
Was in Vegas 2/19-2/23 for convention so I didn't get as much poker in as I would have liked plus too much time spent losing in Sportsbook and on blackjack tables.
Loved Sahara tourney - thanks to this site for turning me onto it. Went pretty deep but did not finish in the money. Would be nice to see chip amounts actually printed on the chips.
Excalibur new room (area)since last year. I had a brief but profitable session at 1-3 NL here. Dealers were all very good/fast/efficient. Table I played could use some major cleaning and chips are really dirty too but had a good session so I won't complain. Up $185 catching some great river cards.
MonteCarlo 1/2 - Short stint at a tight table(not much room I mean) Play was pretty solid for a lower level game but there were some donkeys in the mix as well as a few regulars. Finished up about $25 bucks.
Love the site - keep the info coming
Love to hear the site was helpful in deciding where to play! Sorry you didn't cash after coming close. I've never cashed in the Sahara tournament, but I've busted at or very very near the bubble twice. Go figure.
Your suggestion about the chip amounts being printed on the chips is a good one. It seems like such a simple thing, but I know plenty of novice B&M tourney players can get confused (and even some experienced tourney players, including myself) about the tourney chip denominations.
@allvegaspoker
At some point, even in a well structured tournament like Sahara, skill only gets you so far and you need luck to money. I've had great karma there.
Played three times in November and won twice. (Actually I busted out so early one of the times with set over set against the big stack that I bought back in at the second level; so I did very poorly and very well in the same tournament.) The time I didn't win, one of the four in our group made the money, and I recommended it to a friend who was just there two weeks ago and HE wound up with a 5-way chop.
You'll get there Doug. Come play with us in March.
