From the IP to Planet Hollywood (6/24-30)

Had a nice trip that I'm going to attempt to wrap into a nifty cliff-notes version. Up until the deepstack cash, I was pretty much even on the trip and honestly did NOT want to play in it LOL. I've heard from reports on this site how long they run, and it would be pretty disappointing to use an entire Saturday in Vegas just to bubble out or mincash.

But lets not get ahead of myself here; the trip in chronological order begins now-

THursday 6/24
Arrival - 2pm

Ahh the IP. Probably the best value in terms of location and price, as long as you don't mind some inconveniences.

Anyway I head to Ballys for some 1-2 NL. The reviews on this room are accurate, even for a afternoon game. I play LAG and as a result I get 3-way action all-in pre with AA > JJ & KK.

Head to the MGM for the fabled 2-5 games. Must say the day games there are nit infested and should be avoided. Little to no action unless they have the nuts. QQ > KK obv. DO yourself a favor and don't enter this game until atleast 10 pm :)

Friday

My sleep schedule was entirely out of sync for the majority of this trip, much of the getting to sleep very late in the morning. I'd sleep for 4-5 hours and wake in the afternoon LOL.

SO I sober up at the pool until about 6pm then head out to Cesears for their 7pm nightly (160$).

I only last until the 3rd level going busto in this fun hand -

My chip stack - 12k
blinds 100-200

I open in mid-position to 550 w 10-10. Player to my immediate right 3-bets to 1700, Uber calling station to his right flat calls. I decide to 4bet here because the 3-better has an inbalanced range (he flat called a raise twice with AK /AQ yet 3-bets his SCs and small pairs) and was willing to gamBOOLL vs the call station.

I 4bet to 4200, 3bettor folds call station CALLS!

Flop 9-2-4, I ship for ~8k he calls. 10-10

Just want to apologize as I typed the blog right b4 I went to sleep. Much of it is hard to read & resembles another AVP poster ( Who is like a living legend at the IP btw. The dealer even mentioned his AVP blog lol).

Anywhooo, i sat in the gm @ 4 am. It was 6 handed at the time and within a 10 minutes/ 4 hand span, my impressive card rush broke the gm.

I stacked 2 players and won a big pot off another, showing up with the top part of my range each time LOL. So the remaining plyrs apparently saw enough for 1 night & left. Good gm me! While I had only a short sample of hands @ both rooms, the Bellagio seems like the better gm... if only for having more2-5+ games.
