The aim of this trip was relaxation and heliotherapy. I wonder why there isn't a poker table poolside? Then I thought of the people I play poker with and this would not be a welcoming sight.
I came in Saturday May 15th- Wed. 19th. with my sis. We stayed at South Point the first night then headed to the Flamingo. Anybody heard the Spazmatics? Good geeky band at South Point. Nice pool.

My first stop was O'Sheas. It was nice out so I wanted some sun and poker. Horrible players. Runner- runners galore. Lose $100 The next stop was Flamingo. Small room, nice people but the management seemed stressed. One hand to discuss. UTG calls. I am in MP and raise to $10 with pocket 10s. I get two callers besides UTG. Flop comes 8,A,4?. UTG checks, I bet. Everyone folds except UTG guy. Turn is a blank. I bet, he calls. River- blank. He checks, I check thinking okay he has an Ace and will call whatever I bet. He only has a pair of 8s. Two hours up $220.

The next day I play @ Venetian for a few hours in the afternoon. Nice room. Lots of locals. I met some nice locals and then there are some that just do their thing. One hand- I have K2 spades in the BB. I raise to $7( feeling spunky) to see the flop. As,9s,Jh. Okay, nut flush draw. There are four people in. I bet $15 and get two callers. Next card is a 6d. I bet $25. The next guy raises $50. Everyone else folds. I hem and haw and then call because this could be huge. He only has $65 left. I have over $100. The next card is a spade! I am thinking I have a well disguised flush. I bet $65. He takes a long time but then he folds. 2 hours up $213. Check out the Bacardi Limon with sprite and Mai-Tai's. Yum
That night we stopped @ the Wynn-There were several yelling matches and so I left with $100 profit in less than 1 hour. Nice room but not fond of the dealers I had. Captain and Coke was good.
We walked to IP- one limit table so we went back to Flamingo. No memorable hands but I had an extra $200 after 2 hours. Met Kevin- Likes to drink but a nice guy. Hi Kevin!

The last day before the flight I check out Mandalay. The reviews are right on. They are professional but I did feel like I was in grade school with all the rules. The Strawberry daquiri was great! One hand - I raised preflop with KK and the guy in BB with 3,6 offsuit flops two pair. I knew it when I called but I was hoping to river a higher two pair. I climb back up to $20 profit after being down $150 in 2 hours. Best hand- I am UTG and raise with suited AQ. I know but I was leaving soon. The flop come K,J,7. No flush draw but a straight draw. There are 4 people in. I bet and I get 1 caller. He has a K, I know it! The turn is a 5. I bet, he raises, I call. The next is a 10! No actually it was a Q. So no straight. I bet like I have AK, and he folds his pair of Kings. Yeah, time to go to the airport.
I ended up winning $700 @ poker so I did well. Would like to go back and play some tournaments. I'd like to visit The Mirage, Bellagio and TI.

It was hard to stay inside during the great weather so maybe I will come back in August. Places to go are Redrock, Raising Canes, The Oyster Bar @ Harrahs, and anywhere serving frozen drink concoctions with Rum.
