Green Valley locals and MGM loud music

The new poker room at Green Valley is a vast improvement over the old room. I played 4-8 limit and lost a few hundred. I played at MGM for the first time and it was very nice though, but the music at the bar is way too loud. The 3-6 game is beatable but if you play 4-8, the competition gets stiffer.

Going to Venetian in December and will see what that is like. I think the key to winning at poker is knowing when to get up and walk away, whether you are losing or winning. I was up over $200 the first night at Green Valley but got grounded down over the next 2 nights until I was down $480 by the last night. I played 10 hours straight Saturday night until 6:00 AM Sunday morning, then had to drive back to Los Angeles which took 7 hours from all the Thanksgiving weekenders returning home. I could go on and on about bad beats and people sucking me out, but the key is to not play when you are very tired or bet a lot when you are about to leave. I did this several times and it cost me dearly.
