We stayed at The Palms for a week and had a grreat time. I started playing some 2-4 limit poker. the night i played there was a vast array of players. Some seemed skilled while others were there just for the drinks it seemed like. I did fairly well for the few hours i played, ending up breaking even at the end of the night. I've read a few reviews on the palms poker room, and it seems not many people like it. I cant say its the best poker room in vegas, but it seemed to work alright. I got on a table right away without any wait and the mangement, dealers, and waitresses were all very friendly. I also had to check out the new poker room at the MGM. I love this room! Its huge with plenty of room in between tables. The dealers do a good job and are very friendly and the waitresses are extremely timely with your drinks. I eneded up playing a tourney on Friday and missing the final table by two. I had fun and it was a great experience for my first tourney. MGM's poker room has a great atmosphere and the level of skilled players is fairly average so no worries about card sharks. I would definitely play there again. ( i could do without the granite around the top of the poker tables though)
