Long time (Vegas visitor), First time (poker at TI)
Checked in to TI on 2/12. $20 "sandwich" worked like a charm, upgraded to petite suite, off to a good start. On to the poker room. Great floor staff,I don't see how anyone could dispute that. Overall, very good dealers. Never saw anything I would consider a major error. Called the floor when necessary, explained situations clearly when called for, friendly and social for the most part. Props to Mpls South from Mpls Roosevelt, although I think I lost the most when you were dealing. I was nice to put faces with the names I see on this site. Drink service was fine. Love the Red Bull in a can. Servers were fairly fast, nice and the standard $1 tip I saw from most seemed appreciated. I did hear a few complain that it was slow and it was explained by the floor that a shift change was happening. Nice overall room, flat screens for sports, tournament info and waiting list. Chairs were fine. I played 2/4 (lost), 1/3 NL (won), and tournament (won). My wife played 2/4 (won). She had quads twice in one session for $200 in jackpots. Nice 1/3 NL games (played 4 different sessions). I bought in for as little as $220 and my max was $420 in the $500 max game. There were many max buy-ins. Enjoyed the tournaments (bubble boy once and chopped 3 ways once)but liked the 1/3 NL the most. Played OK, no losing sessions but no big wins. Props to the guys from St. Thomas (in MN), hope you finally got some sleep and your welcome for the $90 I gave away drawing dead. Not my best moment. Overall, I highly suggest checking the room out and will be back on my next trip, maybe this August.
Sounds like you enjoyed yourselves...thanks for posting!
