Mostly MGM cash games

72 in hours in Vegas at the invitation of a friend who was there on business - thus stayed at Tropicana for free. A comment here - the trop is older yes, but I found the room to be clean, the service to be fine and location is great. Would stay there again - for free.

Played mostly 1/2NL games and mostly at the MGM Grand. As has been mentioned before, this is a big room and has a lot going for it. The computerized system allows for tables to be filled at once and several runners work the room getting chips when needed. All in all a very good staff, with excellent dealers and good drink service.

I'm not good at remembering specific hands like many of you but I do remember my worst beat when I flopped a flush. I had bought in at $100 and was up to $149 at the time. A card room employee was at the opposite end of the table and to make a long story short, he had flopped the nut flush and wiped up my stack. My best win was probably when I had pocket 2s and a 2 77 came on the flop and I wiped out another guy's stack (set of 7s).

Played in mgm's daytime tournament. Including the alternates, I would guess there were about 100 entrants. Had a calling machine at my table that was incredibly lucky and he busted me out shortly before the break. I also tried the Paris daytime tournament. It only had 18 players. I never got any cards and was the first guy out of the final table.

I played about 20 hours at mgm and typically finished the night at the Trop. Seedy little room with inexperienced dealers but also some very inexperienced players and always added to my bankroll before bedtime - a nice way to finish the night.
