No limit paradise at the Mirage
I started out playing 1/2 no limit w/ 200 max buy in and pick my spots over the first 3 days and was up around 1000. There are quite a few younger players that are using Mommy and Daddy's money that have been watching to much Bravo. You know the type- Shades, Sunglasses, and Red Bull.
The 4th day, I sat down at the 2/5 no limit 500 max buy in and was up to around 700 after about an hour when the poker gods blessed me. I get pocket Aces and bet out 20. I get 5 callers and the flop is AAQ. Almost fell of my chair and needed a drool bib. I'm in seat 3 and checked. Seat 5 bets out 50 and seat 8 comes over the top with 150. I called. The turn comes and it is a King. I check again and seat 5 comes out with 450. Seat 8 calls with 450. I come over the top with the rest of my stack 530 and they both call. CONCLUSION: Seat 5 has KK for Kings over Aces, Seat 8 has QQ for the Queens over the Aces, and I flipped up my quad and it was the most beautiful moment I have had in Vegas. Pot was almost 2000. Can't wait to go back next year.
