Took the wife off to Chicago for a 6 day relax of shoping nice meals & sight seeing, just so happened to find some great poker 30 minutes away in indiana. You can get free buses from lots of hotel locations in the city just ask ur front desk for details. i went to The Horseshoe which had 34 tables playing from 1/2 nl upto 10/20 nl + mixed games etc also had a 10k WSOP circuit event on with 229 players. All in all a great Binions Casino if u fancy a game & its open 24/7. As a Brit who gets to Vegas 3 or 4 times a year this place was a great unexpected find for me, I hope this can be of help to others see you in Vegas on 17th Nov for a week where i will be playing a lot at the Ven DS events, Good Luck All WIZ.

  1. Thanks for the info. I was in Chicago for a short business trip and couldn't make the trip down to the Horseshoe but will find time to do so next time I have to be there. Good to know about the bus options, too.

  2. Yes, the new Horseshoe in Hammond, IN has an outstanding poker room. In fact, the whole casino is quite amazing considering what these "boats" used to look like. When the "river boats" first came to Indiana and Illinois, they were required to actually set sail for 2 hours. Over the years, that rule was phased out and casino operators put in barges that no longer move and can look like real Las Vegas casinos on the inside. They really out did themselves in the poker room at Horseshoe.
