only one poker session... expensive mistake
got a great deal on amex website - 490/person from NJ to Vegas, round trip incl. 4 nights at Mandalay Bay. Arrived Saturday noon, played some golf, lost close to $800 playing stupid table games, played some more golf until finally the last night I was able to dump off the wife and sit down at 1/2 NLH table. Carefully avoiding 3 guys who obviously played the game before I was able to multiply my $100 buy-in 11 times within 6 hours. Thank God for the .NET convention at this hotel - a lot of geeks thinking poker is all about math skills. Walked away with 1K net winnings... I wish my stamina would let me stay awake a bit longer...

Nice session at the MB. Stay away from the table games or make of point of playing the lower limit games downtown or in some low roller place. Trust me when your at the craps table or whatever you really can't tell the difference in decor and you'll save yourself a ton of dough.
