Returned to the Bellagio, my favorite room, as I've mentioned many times. The $4-8 game is going anytime I come in. I also love MGM but almost never get a $4-8 or even a $3-6 game. I usually fly when I'm alone from LA but drove this time. I leave on a Sunday about 9Am AND GET TO lv ABOUT 2p WITH ALMOST NO TRAFFIC. Vegas is also quiet about then though you can't tell it from the Bellagios' poker room. One to three tables of $4-8 whenever I went.

The dealers are ,almost 100% professional. The table haS AT LEAT 2 OR 3 PEOPLE PLAYING WHO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I still manage not to win. But I don't lose and thaT'S THE GOOD NEWS. Had a very nice couple, probably from Thule, sitting next to me. They were in every hand, betting one and 2 pair like a RF when there were straights and flushes on the board. I would have lost my shirt playing that way. THEY WON.

I walked from Bellagio to the Wynn even though I had the car. After all that sitting the excercise is imperative. Very nice room at The Wynn. Also, always have a $4-8 game. Nice mgt, cocktail waitresses and civilized players. Pretty much like the Bellagio. Pretty room; maybe a little more room between tables here than at B. Comps are ordinary, $1 an hour. Bellagio comps better. I played ABOUT 5 hours at Wynn and trekked back to B to rest up. After a 2 or so hour nap I went for a bite at Cafe Bellagio. The best, if a bit expensive, fancy coffee shop on the strip. Food is always top quality. I've been eating a Wiener Scnitzel there for 10 years. It's not a real Scnitzel because it's too thick. It is huge and delicious. I add 2 sunny side eggs to it and bring my own anchovies and Voila, I have a Holsteiner Scnitzel.THey used to have anchovies @ B but they haven't for years. So for you guys who are foodies bring your own anchovies and try this dish. It will grow hair on your nose.

I plaYED from 10 to about 3Am and to bed. I was back playing about 1030A after a great breakfast and played to 4PM when I left. Again, no traffic to speak of all the way to LA. It cost me aboutt $500 incl room and eats. A very value concious trip. I'll be back in Nov. Got to miss the summer.

  1. Nice report, but I'm surprised that Bellagio comps better than the Wynn. I would offer that 98% of the people would have that the other way. I think your thoughts on the game are dead on considering that 4-8 is the lowest limit in both rooms and therefor would offer up the softest players. Good report.

  2. OK, I am not ever going to be carrying around anchovies in Vegas. And I have too much hair on my nose. But it has long been a desire of mine to start a "What's in your Vegas game pack" thread. But not here.

Walking from Wynn to Bellagio when I have a car? Hmmm.

Yes I love Wynn, especially when I have a car. It is the closest poker room to a convenient parking lot!

    Thanks for the trip report!
