Left at 4a from home in northern ca for the 8 hour drive to Vegas :( It is me, the wife, her sister and her cuzzin going so we had to drive instead of plane to keep cost down (damn plane flights are costing $200 RT from Sacramento, sometimes on a sale it can be down to about $85 RT but no luck on the low price for this trip, hence driving)

I got invited by the Palms to go see the New Kids on The Block concert held at Palms PEARL theatre plus room for 2 nights plus $150 food credit. Plan is for us to let the sister and cuzzin go see NKOTB becuase wife and I dont want too see them, lol I get the sister and cuzzin a room at RIO comped, so they are stoked to have money for gambling and booze instead!

Wife and I check in to the Palms and get a great king suite on the corner with 2 rooms (bedroom plus seperate sitting room area plus great bathroom). We are celerbrating this trip Mothers Day and an anniversary that just happened the day before (16 yrs married)

We send the girls on their way to the concert and the wife and I eat at Garduno's for a nice dinner together. I am heading over to the Venetian to play their 7p tourney and she plans to gamble a bit and relax in room watching a movie. I go play for about 2 hours in the tourney knocking out when I flop a set with 88 but the other guy catches his bigger set with AA on the turn, all in on the flop, damn it urgh lol

I end up going back to the room after tourney to make sexy time with the wife which was great!

We wake up the next morning and call the girls about 10a and find out that they had both got wasted after the concert at the RAIN nightclub at Palms but they were ok to get up and get ready to eat lunch and go shopping. We eat lunch with them at American Bar and Grille at RIO, it was pretty good this trip. After we head to Caesars Forum shops and then to Fashion Show Mall. My wife decides to buy a bunch of stuff since we have driven and not flown to Vegas (lucky me, lol)

After shopping, the wife and I have reservations at N9NE steakhouse at 5:30p, place is not busy at all which surprises me since its Mothers Day night but maybe becuase of prices and economy that had somehting to do with it. We end up getting the 40oz ribeye for two plus salad, appetizer and boy what a meal, so damn good!! with $150 food credit we only have to come out of pocket $90 (total bill was $240). We take left overs to the sister and cuzzin who enjoy as well.

We end up gambling (slots for wife and some dice for me) toghether the rest of the night with not too much happening, we end up winning like $300 this trip.

Wake up on Monday morning for 8hr drive back to home with a stop off at Peggy Sues outside of Barstow for lunch (have passed by this place for many years but decided to stop this trip, food was really good and a fun\quirky place to stop off at)

Look forward to my WSOP trip June 6th thru 15th which will be all POKER with a couple golf outings thrown in
