I arrive at the Tropicana around 2:30 PM and they get me into a room on the 3rd floor, which is fine by me since I don't really spend much time there. Head downstairs and while waiting for my ride play some $0.25 Keno and hit 8 for 10 on my last quarter, score as now my first deep-stack is a free-roll. Get picked up and dropped off at Caesars Palace around 3:45 and register for the 4PM turbo.

The 4PM turbo:
I liked the fact that we start with 30,000 in chips. That part was awesome, the blinds start small and you can actually play some hands and be okay if you miss the flop. I never really had any huge hands, I remember a BB where I held 5c7c and someone 4X at 100/200. I call and the flop is 4c6c3h. I promptly check and they fire. I tank for a little and min raise his bet of 1200 to 2400. He starts mumbling something about me having kings and makes it 6k. I have around 44k at this point, he has me covered. I just call. The turn is a J diamonds. Here is where it got interesting, cause I bet 200. He becomes infuriated and stands up likes its a million dollar bet. My bet totally pissed him off, and I know he has AA here now. Im gonna get paid off and he can not win the hand. He raises it to 8k and I ship all in, he calls rolls AA over and then he being the brilliant man he was calls me dumb for shipping a flush draw, the river is a 10 of spades and hes all excited, and the dealer pushed the chips to me and he gets pissed. He missed the fact that I flop a straight, and now he goes back to really angry. He has around 10k left and donks the rest away a few hands later.

That hand was the only interesting one, the blinds get real high around hour 3 and I never had more than 90k in chips. I drop 30K on an All in call holding AK spades, they had JJ and it held. By then the blinds were 2k/4k and I call an 8k bet with KQ to see all baby cards flop and he immediately shoves, easy fold. The trend continued where I wait for big hands and totally miss the flop. I have around 42,000 chips and get 88. I ship over 4 limpers and a very dumb girl calls after someone else does and she holds KJ, he has AK and of course the flop is JJx. GG me, terrible call by the girl though, she was so busy on her cellphone, she kept getting warnings about being on it, and she was on during the hand, but they told me her hand is only dead if she is on it before the action is to her, im like WTF? Anyways, I head over to Bally's.

I go to Bally's to get a 24 hour monorail pass for the next day since I wont have a ride to Caesars. Has anyone noticed that the walk to the monorail is totally ridiculous? If its not hot out I would rather walk outside, but it was too hot for that. Anyways...

Back at the tropicana:

I worked all night the night before and left as soon as I got home, so im very tired and hungry, I grab a $12 sandwhich...and go take a nap. I wake up around 11PM and go over to Excalibur. I take my $10 comp on a quarter machine and run it up to $150 rather quickly. I cash the ticket and buy in a 1/2 game for $150. thanks MLife for the buyin!

I play for about an hour, and mostly fold the night away, I think I win 1 hand and clearly the cards don't like me, so I cash out with $190.

Around closing time I catch the last monorail down to Flamingo, I walk the strip and go people watching. I didn't feel like gambling anymore so I walk back to Tropicana feeling tired and groggy still. I figure bed sounds good. So I grab another $12 sandwhich...

(you know, the Tropicana spent a lot of money fixing the place up, but the food selection was pretty crappy IMO. The one thing I wanted was the chinese food and they dont even have it anymore)

... And a $7 bowl of extremely good Mint Chocolate Chip Gelatto. (it was the nuts) I go upstairs, eat my food and watch Nazi Hunters before crashing.

6AM
I'm up at 6 and totally bored, the poker room is dead, so I play some slots and quickly lose a hundy. Screw this, time for breakfast. Get myself a breakfast burrito the size of my arm and some coffee. Around 8 o'clock I monorail it up over to flamingo and walk over to Caesars. I play some keno for a couple of hours and win back the hundred I lost at Tropicana. Once the mall opens I walk around and realize im too poor and white to be in this mall, so I leave after taking some pictures of some weird fish that looks like it has a penis growing from its head.

I diddle around til 11 and register for the noon deepstack.

Noon deepstack:
Table is fairly loose, I try and represent the image of idiot early on by donking off 3k chips early. The blinds were small and 30 minute levels I figured if I could pull it off I would be good, however I was wrong, when I did pick up the good hands people were still calling with the crappy ones and outdrawing me. I have around 5k chips left and have KJ on an AQ6 board, he bets, I raise and he shoves all in, I don't have the chips left to fold and not be in shove mode anyway so I call and pray, I brick the turn and river and im done by 1:30. He held 66 BTW.

I go and play in the 2 oclock tournament at bills, I make the final table with 2.5 BBs left and of course get the worst draw and im BB right away. Get K10 of spades and im set all in by A2, obv Ace on the flop, yay me.

Its around 4 oclock now, and im bored of poker and not hitting anything, so I decide I hate poker and go to play some slots at my favorite place for slots.

Bally's Slots of Rungood:

When I play slots I stay away from the video ones, I never understand the way they payout and hate them with a passion, I like the single payline 3 bet max spin quarter slots or the 2 bet dollar slots. So i play those. Win around $300 on the duck shooting triple diamond slot game when I get the three red ducks and 5 shots on the bonus game, it shot up to the top level with best payouts and I cash out as soon as its done. Then I play some blazing sevens dollar machines and win around $100. I get bored and take the 10 mile walk to the monorail to go back to tropicana.

Once I get to tropicana I realize I'd rather go to excalibur so I walk over there. I check the poker room and all they have going is a 2-6 spread limit game. BOOOOO....

so I play some more slots! Yay right?

YOUR DAMN RIGHT YAY...

Blazing 7's your my new favorite slot game. I popped a hundred in and was down to 50, I told myself I've lost 50 whats another and spin some more, then I get the Triple Blazing 7's three times across the machine. KACHINGGGG! Ship me the $5k please. By now its around 7. Ive got an extra 5k in my pocket so I go do some shopping for my kidlets and wife. I get them some clothes and I get myself a collection of casino cards from all the casinos, you know the used ones, anyways. I grab a very nice meal for myself and head back to tropicana around 9.

Theres a bunch of drunk canadians and germans in the poker room, I take $4500 back to my room and lock it in the safe, then I head back to the poker room and buy in for 200.

Unfortunately these guys are too drunk to even beat, all my good hands get raped by crappy ones and I lose $140 before I decide to quit.

Its around 2AM, so I hit up the deli for another $12 sandwhich and get another bowl of gelatto before they close for the night.

I watch nazi hunters for a couple of hours then hit the sack, I check out around 9AM and head on home.

It was a fun trip, I wish the poker was better, I just couldn't hit anything to save my life. I ended up around $5,000 after food and shopping, so a good chunk of that will be going towards my August trip for my birthday.
