I needed to make a trip to Las Vegas and while I could drive over from Cal. And drive back the same day that would not allow me to play any poker. I settled on a two day trip.

I had always looked at CET as first choice since I could walk to several rooms easily. I have a problem with “resort fees” so looked for another place to stay. My needs are simple, a clean non-smoking room with shower and air conditioning.

I found a room at Terribles for $36 a night. The room was “remodeled” that means it was repainted, new carpet and furniture. The room was ground floor and not far from the parking lot. I had no complaints at all.

I played two of the noon tournaments at Venetian. Bombed out of both but was able to cover entry fees at the cash tables. I actually like tournaments better but will grind at the cash table. I didn’t have any really memorable hands.

All in all not a bad trip just wish I had cashed in the tourneys. Looking forward to the WSOP and maybe meeting some of the AVP gang.
