Hey everyone! So this time yesterday night I was hard at work on my drilling rig in fort St. John BC. Here I am now sitting at the Caesars palace 10 pm 85$ tourney! What a difference a day makes as I drool over the incredible looking poker room and all of the beautiful women vegas has to offer.

I work 20 and 10 on my rig up north great money and good times. Just felt like taking off for a while and being a young single guy it's fairly easy.

So anyway I checked into the quad for four nights... Location is everything to me! And after a quick check in I was happy with my plain room on the 18th floor. No horror stories about the hotel and at 22$ a night ( booked Expedia in early November) you can't go wrong. Not sure what the resort fee includes other than wifi but will look into it at 15$ a night it was nearly the price of the room!

Anyway just a quick post as I'm at the table. So far early in round one I've played Ad Kd with the flop coming Qd4d3x check raise to 1300 with two callers pot is at 4300. Turn Ac I check again and button bets out 2k. I quickly push all in other player folds and button tank folds. Healthy pot.

My demise... Ak off suit.., flop comes Kh2h4x I check early position 3 handed. Big blind bets out 800 I smooth call thinking ill raise the turn as he was a loose cannon he would have pushed the flop if I raised with a flush draw. Turn is an 7d now I figure after acting weak hell bet out again. He does betting 1300, I raise to 3600. He thinks for a while and goes all in. I call knowing I'm Ahead... He shows QhJh...18 percent Ah hits the river and I'm out.

-85 at Caesars... Off to bellagio to play 2-5. More to come later. Bye for now
