TerrysPokerTourV
So TerrysPokerTour V is now over and I am back to the rain and eating English food, more on that later.
Had a great time in my paradise and met several AVP ers, recruited one and a few locals. All quality individuals who helped make my vacation experience more enjoyable.
Locals - Helen, an 88 year old lady who played there every day for 15 years when her husband was alive. Sharp as a tack. Kevin, appeared a grumpy local who complained even about winning hands but if you got to talk to him he was a very pleasant individual.
New recruit - The Wizzard (Paul) thats with 2 zees not zeds. Wizzard because he is an MIT Phd graduate. I guess that was many years ago lol Watch out Paul dont get on your own list. He has 2 lists and trust me on this one you dont want to get on his A list. Met his wife too very nice lady.
AVPers Hal - Nice guy but he did complain a lot about being dealt pocket jacks. Another American said well he is from California, guess thats what they do from there. Another who goes to Vegas a few times a year - should be illegal.
Jamie - A few days at beginning of trip who had a good deal negotiated with his wife to get to vegas regularily.
AlaskaGal - met her early in my trip and dealt at our table a few times also played once. Nice lady.
Andy - an Accountant from Cambridge who was there last year (dejavue)
Bonnie - from New Orleans sang to the table everyday.
Several others there regularily but dont know names.
It became a ritual to meet at 9ish each morning to get the game started.
Thanks to all for making my vacation as enjoyable. TerrysPokerTourVI is at the planning stage.
It was a fun group for sure. It was good to meet you and play with you Terry. Glad to see the bankroll didn't diminish. And based on what you said at the table and reported here, I might actually have to consider the Quad... if it's a solo trip.
Cheers.
