All of this info is in respect of The Mirage. $3/$6 limit games started between 915 and 10 and $1/$2 nl about 11 ish. First tourny was at 11am

Games went on to early morning and was a very busy room from midday.

Bonuses - Aces cracked 8am - 2pm $75. Quads anytime $100 (must hold 2) Straight Flush anytime $200 (must hold 2) Royal $500 (must hold 2). For all except Aces cracked get a chance on vid poker machine to get same hand and win just over $12,000. Once its won machine goes - probably still be there next year. Plus there is a bad beat of Aces full beaten pays about $1200 to loser. about $500 to winning hand and $100 to each at the table. During NFL Thursdays and Sundays random seat drawings at end of each quarter on selected games. Q1 $100 going to $200 for overtime

General comps at $2 per hr, just ask for a voucher at end of session or whenever you need it and it can be redeemed within 24 hrs at a food outlet in Mirage. All excellent food Buffet, Burger bar, Pizza, Deli, Steak House - you cant get a bad meal. Tip - if you want breakfast at a weekend dont go to buffet. Its not served, only do brunch $32 (Taking advantage of tourists or dont Americans eat breakfast at weekends)

The chairs in the Poker room are all new and well padded. Dont know if they were uncomfortable or that I sat in them too long. I have no meat on my butt which doesnt help. Tip - There are some cushions on the couches in the room ask to use one of those. Your butt will thank you for it.

For those that need to know I solved my problem of "What is an American omellete?" Its simply American cheese just like a Swiss or Cheddar omellete.

Take advantage of comps I must have had over $200 towards food. Received $500 in bonuses. 4 Aces cracked, 1 Quads, 1 NFL Drawing. Overall my bankroll did not diminish, guess that makes me a winner - not losing in Vegas.

All dealers were fast and efficient and interacted with players. Cocktail service was better in the evenings but a bit spotty during day. Never served a wrong drink and they often rembered what you wanted.

Oo and Elvis is still alive - I saw him many times.

Hope some of this is useful any questions please fire away and I will try and respond.

  1. Great sharing...!

  2. What was the competition like?

  3. As for competition. No big deal. A few locals who were promotion chasing nits. The rest were tourists more interested in having fun. Everybody seemed to put a lot of emphasis on the lure of the bonus and often would play a hand just in case.
