5/28 - 7pm Tournament at Aria.

Had about 70 runners including re-entries. I started at a fun table filled with action from the get-go, people taking shots bluffing each other left & right. I also got in a few nice bluffs at the right time for some decent sized pots, but for the most part I played TAG/ABC poker in the early levels. As the blinds & antes started getting crazy I started stealing pots here & there. At about midnight I chipped up pretty well & have a healthy stack & I'm feeling good about myself! I might actually have a chance to make the final table & cash since I had a healthy stack compared to the others that are short stacked. Unfortunately, I didn't cash and ended up busting out 20th place out of 70. I picked the wrong time to "bluff" with 6h3c. Flop comes out 6sKd3d, so now instead of bluffing I'm pushing this hand hard for a boat & come in for a healthy raise. Deep-stack villain has me covered re-raises, I shove all-in for my tournament life & he calls. He flips over Ad9d for a nut flush draw. Turn is 2c. Of course, the River is a 5d. Game Over for me. I had fun though, it was a learning experience, $125 for over 5 hours of play, not bad. I'm surprised I lasted that long & was able to bluff as much as I did, just got caught at the
wrong time.

End of Day Result: -$125

5/29 - Cash Game at WSOP @ Rio

Headed to the Rio to check out the WSOP & take in the scene. Freakin poker mecca! Saw Mike Sexton hanging out in the Amazon Room, which was pretty cool. Anyways, headed
to the Pavilion Room for 1/3 NL Cash Game. They started up a brand new table for us on the waiting list, so I didn't have to wait at all. Bought in for $300 & played my game. Thank goodness I caught some decent cards, because bluffing didn't really work in this session, a bunch of calling stations at this table. So I played my good hands & got paid with my value bets. Everything was going all good until this one guy sits down to my left. He's making it a known fact that he intends to bully & run over the table, being hyper aggressive & adding straddles to take advantage of the calling stations. Like I said earlier, I was catching good cards & was able to put an end to his bullying. I get dealt pocket Kings & this maniac insists on moving all-in & I snap call. He flips over Ace-King. My cowboys hold up and I stacked his @$$. He rebuys & tries to bully the table again while I continue to chip up for the next few hours, winning/taking small pots here & there. Racked up about $557 at the end of this session for a $257 profit! After the profitable session, I'm cruisin' for a bruisin' so I make my way to the so called "Hooker Bar" at the Rio. Had a few cocktails & ran into some other fellow poker players on the same table I was playing earlier. We all played spot the hooker & drank the night away. After a few hours, I'm lit as $hit & this ghetto mamacita tries to holler at me. She was yappin about how she would give me a discount since it's a Tuesday night. I flipped the script on her & told her I was a gigalo and that I would charge her $500 to "party" with me! Realizing that she just got pwned at her own game, she goes into ghetto mode & cusses me out & storms off. Everyone at the bar was laughing & applauding me for my unusual counter offer. Good tactic to use if you want to chase away hookers, lol. Good nightcap & off to bed!

Bought In: $300
Cash Out: $557

End of Day Result: $257

Stay tuned for Part 2!
