Flew into Vegas on sunday Aug 17th. Ws staying at the IP and after a room snafu ended up with a honeymoon suite- note: Mirrors on the ceiling are NOT sexy when your by yourself!

Plaued in the mixed game that night and got to meet LVM, Adrock, Usmc Jumper, Poker muffin, OD, Perry and a few others- Donked around for a few hours, drinking heavily. Was having a great time. Then, in walked Mpitts- We immediatly began ragging on each other, well deserved as he totally destroyed me in the last online tourney. I played until 1:30, before forfeiting my seat to Pitts, as I was beat. Down $150 for the night.

Next morning I signed up for the noon tourney at Venetian. I have been wanting to play this for two years, and something always comes up. I was free rolling in the tournement as I sat down an hour before the game in a 1-2 NL table and won almost $400 (flopped the nut flush and felted two players in one hand!)

Tourny was great- great structre and the play was above average. Got lucky once when all in with 21 players left with A-Q against pocket queens and hit an ace in the door. Made it to the final table 8th in chips. After a few quick bustouts, we tried to work a deal but the guy in 2nd place wouldn't have it- of course he busted 2 hands later. Down to four we finally cut a deal- by chip count I was 3rd and walked away with a little over $2100. Walked back to IP and sat down at the 1-2 Nl table, which I proceeded to run over. I busted some old guy twice in three hands (Ak- Vs A3 we both flopped two pair) and then All in pre flop AA vs 33- he hit a three on the flop but I rivered an ace. He got so angry he threw his cards at me and cursed me out and was asked to leave. Ended up almost $450 at the table. I could have played my hands face up and these guys would still call me down!

Next day I went to TI and met Mpitts and Yappy Dave there. Had a blast with them- The trash talk between me and Mpitts reached new heights, I even offered everyone at the table $20 if they bust him- however, he is the biggest luckbox I ever met and could not be stopped. We played a mixed game until 3:30am, drinking Jagerbombs the whole time, and I stumbled back to my room and promptly passed out. Down $220 for day

Met Pitts on wed at TI- I love this room, all the dealers and the floor are top notch- Spoke with Chris for a while, played the 2pm tourney. Caught the wrath of OD when I beat his pocket 10's with A-J (and I only called because it was him!) Busted soon after first break and played cash with Pitts till dinner. We talked for a while at Canters deli and realized how much we had in common. As much as I talk crap about him, he is a cool dude and I'm glad we had a chance to meet. Back to the Poker room we played 1=3NL with LVM for a bit, until he left to go to SouthPoint. Here I took my worst beat of the trip. Flopped a set with pocket 6's(Board read 6, J 2 rainbow). Bet heavy on turn (ace) and moved all in on the river(another Ace) and villian turned over A=J (I hate that hand now!)Played another mixed game with Yappy, Pokermuffin and a few others- learned a lot at this session, as Yappy's critquing of my horrid play actually helped( He should write a blog, I would read it ! *LOL*)Finished down $320 for the day, including the $350 pot with the full house. Amongst all this, I decided I was having too much fun to leave the next day, so I called the airline and changed my flight to friday.
P.S.- I still hate Baduci!

Final day, once agin met Pitts at TI- Cash games for a few hours- not much action, hung around even for the day. Dinner at PF Changs with my cousin (unbelieveable!) Back to TI. Sweated Yappy at the 7pm tourney (which he won) and was amazed by his reading abilities. Thanks for all your help, D. Joined the 10pm tourney and tried to emulate the Yappy one, but I just dont have the stones (yet!) to pull some of his moves. Finished just short of final table (12th) when my Jacks couldn't hold against A-K

Me and pitts walked to Ip and proceeded to torture table there- Pitts was on fire! He felted three players in the first 30minutes. Then, he destroyed me in the only hand we tangled in for the whole week. I raised four limpers to $16 from the BB- Pitts and one guy call- Flop is Q-6-7 two diamonds. I bet 30, both call. next card is a duece. I bet fifty, again they both call- Im pretty sure the other guy has a queen, but pitts has me worried, as he showed me he is capable of playing any two cards. Final card is a 4 of diamonds Pitts leads out for $100. I had put him on a combo draw here, and was sure he nailed it. I folded in disgust and the donkey turns over 9-7 hearts. Bluffed me bad! If I didnt like him so much I would have tilted there. We played until 4am when we parted ways with plans to make sure we book the next trip together. Lots of laughs Finished the night -$130 for day.

Overall a great trip, made money, learned new games and made a few friends! Sorry so long!
