Two days in Vegas...

Took off for a two-day bachelor party to Vegas last Thursday and Friday, June 22-23.
I was able to slip away from the group for a short game at the Nugget and a seven-hour session at the MGM.
While the main group was engrossed in a craps game I snuck into the poker room at the Nugget around 1 p.m on Friday. There was a $3/$6 limit game in progress that I immediately joined.
While I only played for about 90 minutes, upon cashing out I was instantly thinking of my next return trip to the Nugget.
This room had a great laid-back feeling to it. The players at my table were almost all decent players, with the exception of a couple. Once again, the danger of low limit hold'em...idiots calling every bet and chasing anything to the river.
One gentleman in particular seemed to call every bet on the table. He always seemed to be chasing a straight or a flush. I don't think I ever saw him hit more than trips! But he would get mad, hit the table and buy more chips every time.
I managed to take down a couple of nice sized pots during the short time I was there. Pretty much cashed out even.

Later that night I embarked on a helluva session at the MGM. I entered the back of the poker room at 5 p.m. and was seated at a $2/$4 game.
I was lucky to get such a great table, away from the bustle of the main room and right next to the restrooms!
The most interesting part of the evening was when two guys at my table were escorted out by security. These guys, in their early 20's, started out nice enough, but quickly turned the entire table against them.
They started ragging anyone who would beat them on a bad hand. They were pretty vicious. Soon afterwards, a new dealer asked them to not use cuss words while he was dealing at the table. They told him to "Kiss their ass" and "f**k off, this is Vegas I can do what I want."
As soon as the dealer left the table, security came and took them out.
After that, everyone seemed to relax quite a bit.
Caught a couple of big hands, didn't have to chase much, but mainly just folded and drank.
I had a great time, but was having a harder time catching cards. I'd get A10, Q10, JJ, just to see the flop be something like 2,3,9. The thing is, most of the time, that would trip someone up.
Good time but bad luck.
I ended the evening around midnight when my initial buy in was depleted by bad luck once again. Was dealt 99, flop was KQJ. Just enough for someone to get a higher pair.

I can't wait to visit both these rooms again! Especially the MGM. Had more fun there than in any poker room I've played in so far.
