Took the wife on one and stayed at Paris. she loves that hotel and all of the food there is great plus not a bad location. Second trip stayed at Excalibur because I like to stay there for some cheezzzzzy reason.

Played all 1/2 on both trips stayed away from tournaments.

Played at MGM and after about 7 hours was up about 400 bucks and cashed out. I hate the race tracks and my head hurt when I left but was running pretty good as far as cards and comfort level in the game. One hand I didnt like and lost about half of my profits. I have pocket 8's riase of 15 in front about standard and a caller. I bump it to 40 not really wanting to see a call. three callers. Flop was 8 high giving me a set after both people in the pot called my raise. 25 riase in front and I have him on a flush draw second to act raised to 50 had him on an overpair. I push wanting to end it there. all three called . Guy has the overpair and hits his set on the turn. Guy to my left had bottom set and guy was on a flush draw and missed. Pot was close to 1k. I did get a few chips from the guy on the nut flush draw as I had the table covered easily at that point. Really the way the pot played I think no matter what I would have gotten all my chips in even if I hadnt pushed on the flop with two raisers in front and knowing I was best at that point. Just about everyone made the right play given the way the betting played out.

Now I read a trip report before I posted and I may have been the one involved and the villian but as I remember it played out diffrent than posted if it is the case. (YappyI believe) there was a decent bet in front and 5 callers before it got to me with K8 (it was suited not that it matters much)and I hit my set of 8's on the flop and took down a large pot. I was getting 5-1 and was in the small blind so had a very very small discount ($1) lol and was in position to get away if I didnt get my flop but I was up close to 700 bucks at this point and worth a few bucks to gamble.

Went down to Rio thinking I would try a couple sats but didnt really like what they were running and left. Went to palms and just did not enjoy the room at all. I know some like it but to me wasnt my vibe. I left after 30 minutes up about 60 bucks. I think what it may have been I didnt like my seat I like 234 and 789 with 3 or 8 being what I want. I was in seat 5 couldnt see a thing hardly due to a 700 pound samoan next to me (I honestly think he was a sumo wrestler). This is honest to god the only time I have seen a player using TWO SEATS. I have no problem with heavy folks at all but he really really cramped my spot as i am not small at about 225 and they guy to the other side was pushing 275. I would have rather sat in the middle seat on my flight than to be cramped like this. Well he left everytime he folded told the dealer deal him in he would be right back and went to smoke and of course came back smelling like smoke with a half burnt cigarette in his ear reaking of smoke. Just didnt like it.

played PH like the new room but got felted. got all my chips in pre flop with AA to get beat by KK hitting a set

Played at IP no drink servive at all. I am still waiting for the second time for a drink. wont go back.

I really like the 2/5 at Mirage only time I didnt play 1/2 very juicy and beatable. I wasnt going to play here after last trip and they would let the guy buy in for a total of 520 on a table that easily had 15k on it if I rememebr right. anyways I did there was an Older guy there gray hair standard raise anytime he had two face cards was 30 bucks or if he was a blind or button. He was on my left. I figured him out and started reraise when there were no callers he would make a comment that all he was doing was trying to build a pot and I messed it up. I said well all I am trying to do is steal a pot after he folded. I showed him junk a couple times after he mucked his cards. My moment came when he got tired of this (went on about two hours)and he pushes all in afer I reraise him. I have KK he has JJ and I hold up. Had him covered and was glad to see him reach in his poket for 500 more. Anyways I was up about 1800 bucks over a total of 4 days there with the two trips one was pid for so was a free trip other was miles and some fun for my wife and I. To bad I didint get as much "R&R" as IAPETE
