Checked into B@ poker rate. My wife was with me so we tried the Spa Tower for the first time. A little smaller than the rooms in the original tower but with a much nicer closet. This location is about in the middle of the B and Aria poker rooms. I generally play these 3 rooms and still prefer the B. Had an annoying floor man at Venetian. When I asked him to replace my Grazi card he referred me to a computer somewhere and told me the clerk would be back in 10 minutes. When I told him to get it done as they do in all casinos he suggested I leave. I complained to the shift man ager who took care of me. Cocktail service was incredibly slow at V also. I think they are getting a bit stuck on themselves. V did have a $4-8 Omaha game which I enjoy. Spent about 9 hours in 2 days @ V. Spent about 18 hours @ B in 3+ days. They generally have my $4-8 game going and its a very pleasant room. Played @Aria about 7 hours @ Aria which is a-room I like but they donÕt have my game at all times. A did have a $4-8 half kill which is rare on the strip.

Had a great dinner @ Mortons on Flamingo. They have a special which is not on the menu. $109 for 2. You get a filet mignon, choice of vegetable, nice appetizer and dessert. All of it is delicious and far too much to eat. Service and ambience were great. Hard to beat price for the value in Vegas.

We ate @ Aureole in mandalay Bay last trip. Food was good, service and attitude miserable. I wrote to Charlie Palmer and Michelin with complaint. We were invited back . The GM greeted us and we were treated to one of the best meals imaginable. Great food and service and a very special wine. IÕll supply details to any who are interested. Looking for a really good meal and willing to splurge? Go to Aureole, the chef does amazing things with relatively simple dishes.
