The Friday Noon $110 tourney at the Aladdin was great... the $3k 1st place prize definitely had something to do with that. It was big, 100+ players and lasted 4.5 hours. The tournement was run very smoothly, well organized, and the Aladdins staff is great. You can register for this tournement over the phone... which is great.

I played the Sunday tournementat the MGM Grand. The MGM is waaaaay nicer than the Aladdin, but I like the Aladdin better. The staff is better, not only are they more friendly, but they are better dealers and more organized. Also, the MGM caps their tournements at 60 people... which is good and bad. Because of the cap the pay-outs are also capped. $9000 total money at the Aladdin vs. $4000 at the MGM.

The Aladdin pays good money to 1st-9th... the MGM only pays 1st-4th.

Aladdin - Friday Noon $110 buyin, 100+ people, 20 minute blinds, total tourney time: 4.5 hours

MGM Grand - Sunday 6pm, $125 buyin, 45 people, 30 minute blinds, total tourney time: 4hours.

I would play both again with out a doubt.
