You played your best poker where? The IP, no way!!
Stayed at the Flamingo. first walked to the Excalibur for some 2/4 LHE to get reaquainted with a live game. I play 20X BB to start my game. did see pocket rockets only win $4 as each player was not raising for any think. lost $64 of my starting $80 over 4 hours but i do think I played well.
Walked to the Luxor for some $50 NLHE. I love this game and room even though I dropped $105 over the time period I played there. as i left they had 8 tables playing. I have never seen 8 tables anywhere playng at 1 time. yes I rebought twice but I saw other players rebuying more that I did. End of mandays action -$169 but was comfortable
with my losing day.
Tuesday: went to the IP,imperial place, about 5:30 pm and played 2/4 for about 3.5 hours. I now have played at the IP but lost $11 in this session. Total for Tuesday -$11 but the experience was worth it,new room I mean. I also liked that you did not have to post to enter the game right away if you missed the blind when you arrived. I think you were comped $2 an hour? which is best in town I think. I only know Ballys comps 50 cents an hour.
Wednesday returned to the IP in the late afternoon. Played 2/4 again and did find you can easily? bluff at a 2/4 game. did it 3X and made $35 total profit for that session. Hey it paid for my prime rib dinner at outback steakhouse. Did find a Canadian calling station with a lot of chips but once in awhile he did have a great hand but I figured if you push him to the limits with your great hand he folds. thanks to lady from Washington state for the tips on his play. Almost sorry to the lady from Wahington state cause I did bluff you 2X of the 3X times i bluffed.
Thursday: played in the 10am Flamingo tourney. I like this set up and I finished 17th out of 40 players. My best finish ever! Went all in with $400 and K,Qk but was called by A,5o and was outdrawn. the blind would have finished me in 2 hands anyway and I thought K,Q clubs is a good starting hand to go all in with. ok not good enough. Walked over to Ballys. Another room I have never played in. Only played for 2 hours, time to leave, and lost $28 but i did win with pocket rockets! yea losing $14 an hour is not great play.
In conclusion I felt i played well, not great, lost about $43 a day but learned from the experience. And is not that part of poker, learning? See Vegas last week of June. santaferr@hotmail.com
