Range to steal and cbet
Hey guys, my name is Wegis Silveira, I just signed up in Pokeratlas.
I need a help to adjust my range of steal in cash.
Analyzing my stats I realized that despite my percentage of steals not be as high, at times I try to steal with very weak hands. For example, in one hand I tried a steal of BTN with 62o and got BB's call; on board (QAQ) I made the cbet of a half pot and received call. dropped on the turn, of course.
I know the cbet was horrible, but which range steal you advise me? and what better way to make a continuation bet or not?

You should be button stealing in cash with approximately the following range (this doesn't take into account the blinds 3bet percentage and if they are a great player, average, recreational, etc).
All pairs
A2o+ hands and A2s+
K7o+ and K2s+
Q7o+ and Q2s+
J7o+ and J2s+
T7o+ and T6s+
97o+ and 95s+
87o, 86o, and 84s+
76o, 75o, and 74s+
65o and 64s+
54o and 54s
43s
Key - o means offsuit
s means suited
C-bet based on board texture. You should be c-betting upwards of 80% of the time. Don't bet coordinated boards unless you hit, and bet paired boards along with ragged boards that are unlikely to have hit your opponents calling range.
Hope that helps
@BentonBlakeman what do you do in the above case of the OP. It is not impossible, but, unlikely V has a Q. Your OP's CBet at least indicates an A.
So, when do you a second barrel or third?

@GolfPro In this example id often check back the flop and Dona delayed c-bet on the turn. To balance this I will also check back Ax hands on this flop where I flop top pair. The reason is that I'm unlikely to get three streets of value so taking the flop street out is fine. As far as barreling I don't like to on this board, but in general I'll two barrel if I bet flop and get called and an overused that could hit my c betting range falls on the turn.
@BentonBlakeman usually in low limit games 1/2 and 1/3 it becomes so costly with CBets. I use them very sparingly.
I think that stealing is more important in tournaments than in cash games, but you should use the steal to lend cover to your real ends and vice-versa.
hum, thakyou guys
you all really hlped me
