I was hired into Aria Poker Room as a poker dealer. There is no training on how to "deal" with many of the hi-rollers. Some of these hi rollers are really, really poor human beings. They think they have $200,000 in front of them that they can treat the dealers like crap! And the poker room floor and management treat these hi rollers like god! I don't want big tips from these players. Just a simple acknowledgment that I am a human being is appreciated!
All of the poker dealers in the back room complaint about the mistreatments of the dealers by these players. Management knows this and don't care!
I wouldn't recommend any "newbies" wanting to work at the Aria Poker Room! Not worth the $1 tip you get for pushing $100,000 pot. If you get that $1 tip.
Good luck my fellow dealers.
Wishing you get that $1 tip s as me a little human recognition!
