Last year I played at Aria once and did not like it. This past week I went back to see if my first impression still held true. It did. I continue to dislike these; 1.the crowded together tables where you must weave your way between the tables , chairs, and people coming the opposite way,and 2. the noise from the walkway right outside the long side of the poker room which is very busy with people going to and from the exit and/or the parking garage which is compounded by the low ceiling in the room. I do like the positioning of the overhead lighting. The lights actually are directly over each table and light up the table surface rather than the foreheads of the players.
Several solid players, including a few who seemed to incorrectly assume they were better than any opponent they had not seen before. Some players were loose calling stations.
Most dealers during my three hours of play were competent and incharge of the action. One, however, who seemed to have a difficult time handling the cards!
Players several times spoke out accurately wondering why we had not seen a waitress in quite a while.
Desk personnel were friendly and walked you to your table rather than just giving a table number or verbal direction.
I didn't inquire.
