So its been two years since my last review so I thought I would do an update. Incredibly there are still no tournaments. It's perplexing why this is unless they can not get a director or they are having a dealer shortage (which is possible). I have asked several times over the years as to why with no answer. The new white tank casino will be completed at the end of '24 and that poker room will only be 12 tables so it doesn't look like tournaments will ever come to the west valley at this point.
The room is nice, but the check in process is clunky. Most poker rooms have a kiosk where you swipe your player card and pick your game. Here you still need to go to the poker board like its 1987 and tell them to put you in.
The dealers are decent, but the noise level is very loud and distracting off the main floor and its not uncommon for you to hear people yelling to ask what the action is etc. Bring ear buds and zone out you be thankful you did.
The good news is the players are soft especially on weekend so if you want action this is the place.
Overall DD is fine if you just want a quick place to play, but just don't go out of your way to go here.
