Played 1/3 NLH here yesterday. Action was decent.
Bought in for $300. Sat down and the very 1st hand I was dealt in were 9's. I limped in from late position since I haven't acclimated yet, called down to the BB, an older guy, who made it $12. Called around, I called hoping to flop another 9. Surprise, surprise!! SB backraised to $75! Folded to me. Story didn't make sense so I I shoved my $288. He paused for 2 seconds, which was I expected, and then put in the remaining and called..
The dealer burn and shows the flop, player asked me what I had, told him I have a set and smiles! I saw the window card being the other 9. Long story short, more than doubled up! He said he had KK's which didn't make sense.
I played for an hour, still with the same profit.
I only played a few selected hands since i found out they were taking in 10% of the pot or $20 cap as rake or drop.
I am not sure how you can beat the rake and the game on this format. Shout out to Virgang and Bryan, I played 40 mins and 20mins on their downs respectively.
I do wanna cone back and play again before I go back to the US, it's just insane how much they take away from each pot!
I'll give it 3 stars at best!
