The room is clean and well lit. The chips are clean by poker room standards. All the tables and cards are in good condition. They are very speeding in getting chips when players need more, overall I think the room is well run, and pleasant. The auto shuffle machines seemed to work MUCH MUCH more reliably than ANY other room I have played in!! Not once did we have to change out a machine during any of my weeklong daily sessions!!! Bravo for that!
The negative is they typically only get one or two 1-2NL tables going daily -high hand days it fills up with more tables.
The dealers were very pleasant and call you by name. The floor seemed above avg with kindness and concern for your experience. Coacktails come around not as often as other places but there are self service coffee and soda stations close by.
The players were an older crowd generally above 45 during the daytime regs. So the action isn't great, but the players were generally pleasant and very very few disputes or arguments compared to other rooms I've played in, seemed like midwestern pleasantries and courtesy at its finest.
They had some jumbo TVS which was nice if your there to watch some sports. At some tables there was some annoying noises from the close by slot machines, but it was rare.
I took the time to write an especially long review only because the two other reviews posted here in the last year seemed to be especially harsh without much merit.
I am a Flórida rounder and play frequently at the Tampa hard rock, WIN poker room in st pete, Bonita Springs, and the Hollywood hard rock, as well as having played at multiple rooms in Nevada and California in the past year.
If you're ever in a room and you hear them call "MAGOO" it's probably me! Say Hi and tell me about your favorite poker room or your worst bad beat-lol.
