In this day of Covid, all companies are hurting for workers. This is particularly true with casinos. I recently played the WPT events at Seminole HardRock Hollywood for two weeks. They had extra tables but not enough dealers to open these tables. The first satellite I played, they had 80 players seated and 120 + or - alternates. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get seated. At that point I had about 3 to 5 big blinds in this turbo. After the satellites, I wanted to play cash games. The waiting list for $1/$2 was 93 names. The waiting list for $2/$5 was 56. I put my name on both and never received the notification text within the next 3 hours. I tried to play cash games on four or five different days and the waiting lists were always long. I never got to play. SERVICE is also non existent. i played 6 or seven satellites rarely saw a server. Come on....this is an easy fix. They sell the drinks for ridiculously high prices and the servers work for tips. Unlike a dealer, a server requires no lengthy training. What a no brainer. HIRE MORE SERVERS THAT ONLY MAKE YOU MORE MONEY. The South Point poker room in Vegas consistently has the best service. They also have the best overall managed room. Other poker rooms should take a lesson from them. Other than having more business than they can handle, Hardrock is a nice place to play.
