The room is much nicer since the renovation, tables and chairs are much better quality. This is one of the few room in Vegas that caters to low stakes players. It has become a much more popular room after it hosted the WSOP. The lists for cash games are extremely long and they move slow since there aren’t enough tables to open up new games.
It’s nice to have a low cost tournament option at 75 dollars running six times a day. Unfortunately there also aren’t enough tables to meet the demand and there is usually a log alternate list although you can guarantee a spot by signing up early. The blinds go up way too fast, 15 minute levels are one thing but they essentially double each round after the break and it’s basically an all in slot machine shove fest at that point.
I guess it’s not their fault they have become popular. I’m here in a random week in December when hotel and airfare prices are low so I can’t imagine what it will be like in the holidays. The room probably needs to double in size to keep up with the offerings.
