The poker room at MGM Grand Detroit was recently moved to the first floor. It's spacious and they have brand new tables. It's not a premier room by any stretch, but it's clear they're looking to take some competition from the other casinos.
The clientele is all over the place, but if you play regularly, you can do fairly well here. There's a good mix of decent players, local wannabes, and gamblers coming in between BJ sessions.
They have a pizza and snacks fully stocked during the busier times and it likely won't take long to get in a game, even when it's busy.
Overall, a decent place to play if you're around the Detroit area.
