Although nearby Foxwoods boasts more tournaments and better structures, Mohegan Sun can offer a nice respite. With a decent spread of games and limits for a small room, you can usually find whatever it is you're looking for. The downside? It may only be one game that's been running for hours and your max buy-in is still a short stack.
My personal favorite aspect of this room is that they run a week-long series every season. There is usually one or two tournaments that are a middle buy-in with a GREAT structure, and a Main Event with a decent guarantee. Unfortunately, like most poker rooms, the daily tournament tournament schedule leaves much to be desired. Also it's worth noting that Every 3rd Sunday of the month they have a$30k Guaranteed $330 with 30k in chips and 30min that is worth the investment.
If I had one complaint to air about this room, it's that the Floor supervisors are OFTEN disorganized about many situations. I don't know if it's from lack of experience or miscommunication, but it's usually apparent. In my limited trips to this poker room(Less than 20) this includes:
-Inconsistent punishment dealt to players who are being belligerent
-What seems like preferential treatment to certain players who continuously break rules.
-Tournament confusion- color up breaks, table breaks, day ending breaks, late registration,
