Small Room, but a lot of action mid day on a Weekday

Driving by Detroit on a Thursday in May I decided to drive into the city to check out one of the casinos (Specifically the poker room.)

After checking out Joe Lewis arena and admiring Caesar's Windsor across the river in Canada I decided on stopping in Motor City.

After parking in a free casino parking garage I made my way and easily followed the signs to the poker room.

Immediately put my name up for cash table and purchased my chips. Room seemed small and awkwardly shaped. Almost triangular with an outstretch around a corner. Packed into the side was a bunch of free food for poker players with a variety of choices. Pizza, hot dogs, fruit, cereal, bagels, etc. And free coffee and soda machines. Didn't mind helping myself as the room is a little tight to have too many hostesses walking around.

After a little wait and some confusion (which was quickly cleared up by a gentleman working the floor, great staff here!) I was seated. Sitting down I didn't feel anymore cramped than in a larger room so the space was not really an issue. Dealers I had were nice, chatty enough to make time go by and have some small talk, even to non-regulars/out-of-towners, but not over the top.

For a Thursday around lunch time the room was decently busy and had a lot of action the few hours I was there I quickly made some profit off players who looked eager to just get their money in or try to call off a bluff.

All-in-all a good experience and I would not mind going back again.
