I have logged just under 40 hours of NLHE play at Oxford Downs. Overall, the experience has been great. The place is very clean and customer friendly. I have yet to wait more than 15 minutes to get a seat at a table. The dealers are friendly and keep the games moving along nicely. Things aren't going to get too out of line on the tables here. The floor manager that had to engage at our table once was forthright and firm in her ruling, player complied and everything moved right along.
It seems to be a great room for beginners and experienced players alike. The facilities are kept clean and the outdoor tiki bar with the rolling, green horse pasture land of Central Florida provide a nice backdrop for breaks from play.
One of the nights I was playing there was a live concert out back. Lots of action before and after the concert. Might be a good idea to check the events schedule if you're a player looking for plenty of poker fun and planning a trip.
The main game is No Limit Holder, but I've been told by a couple of the dealers there's a decent Omaha game on Tuesdays. Other poker games are available if there's enough interest (limit hold'em, stud, omaha, razz, etc..). If you're in the area and looking for a game I suggest giving Oxford Downs a try.
