I went last night and what a night and day difference from the Toronto poker room. Not only is everything pretty much brand new, the overall atmosphere was fun. Extremely friendly pit bosses with very professional dealers. Some are new, but you can still see everyone takes it seriously and I don’t even think I saw a single mistake last night (I played for 5 hours). The dealer that stood out the most was Calvin. I really respect this guys professionalism and I’m sure he will make a great dealer! The waitresses were all awesome as well. I would come back and I’m excited to see where it is in a few years.
Ps, the rake does suck though. In this economy? Common🤣 You know what would be cool though? If there were a few happy hours everyday where rakes goes to $10. The owner can remain very profitable while giving players a small break a few hours a day. It would really ease the mental burden of the ultra high rake. It could also be very strategic to attract more players while deleting the image of having bad rake, while still having bad rake. There is serious potential here.
Cheers
