Caution is advised when playing in 5-5 PLO games against the regulars at this establishment. It has come to my attention that some of these regulars may inadvertently engage in questionable practices, such as sharing information about their hands and collaborating to exploit card deductions. I personally witnessed two such incidents just last week.
In one of these incidents, which cost me a substantial 3k pot, an individual (referred to as "Ed Sheeran" for reference) covertly disclosed information to my opponent regarding their folded hand. In another instance, two players, whom we'll call "OG degens," discreetly communicated to each other, effectively signaling that one of them possessed the top set. This strategy led to a significant victory for one of them, thereby sparing his companion from losing to a stronger hand while allowing him to stack another player.
I want to emphasize that I was sitting directly across from these individuals and personally overheard their exchanges. It's essential to exercise caution in such an environment to safeguard your interests.
Another incident to be aware of is when I won a hand with a straight, but the dealer mistakenly mucked my cards and intended to award the pot to another regular. Thankfully, I was vigilant and caught the error; otherwise, I would have lost out on that pot. This highlights the importance of staying vigilant in this game.
Only play if there are mostly casual players and a few regs. Otherwise, these regulars will target and collaborate against you, making you the loser.
