If this is the only place you've been to in Texas, then it'd be easy to take it for granted. There are some nice rooms up by Dallas, but within an easy drive - up to and including Austin - San Antonio has the BEST card rooms around. There are things I don't 100% love about Rounders (What is up with that annoying hard betting line?!), but - I'm not marryin' her. ;) Great card room! And for all skill levels.
I've played with folks who wore rings and bracelets, and I played with ppl who barely knew what a blind was. Mostly (!) dealers here have been *exceptional* - across the board!! Very professional. Very much here to facilitate the play and not be the focus of the play.
The MTTs are well done! This is where most of the real new players showup, particularly for the freerolls. And it's exciting for them; it's tough to get through that field, for sure! Looking fwd to trying their larger 2-day MTT this month!
Anyway, if ya live in the area, or if you're doing your own version of Texas Dolly's legendary "Texas Circuit" be sure to add a stop at Rounders!
