Running Aces offers a wide variety of poker, from $2-4 Limit Hold 'em, $3-6 & $3-6 kill-pot on up to $2-100 pot limit (which is very much like playing no limit). Also offered are Stud and Omaha games. All games have professional dealers (although their skill levels and ability to keep the games moving vary greatly) and there is table-side ordering from the kitchen.
The ambiance is however, distracting. Massive digital screens line the walls emitting a predictable array of sports and other displays. Many of the tables and especially the chairs are badly worn and in need of replacing. The lighting is very bright and it is always a few degrees too warm in the main room.
Unfortunately, the most serious distraction often comes from the "regular" players, who try to dominate the play and on occasion have been mean-spirited toward newer players, or those with less experience. Management can be slow to respond to those who make it uncomfortable for some to play.
If you have a good handle on your emotions and you have reasonable poker skills, I would not hesitate to suggest you give Running Aces a try. But if you are new to the game and are looking for a supportive atmosphere, this is not the place for you.
