This was my first experience playing a public tournament. I have only played house party gatherings.
It was a great experience. The dealers were friendly. The players were mostly friendly. Players Offered basic advice when I made my bet out of turn.
Some locals that seem to play regularly, I noticed the dealer and managers knew by name.
It was a great environment to test my skills. I will continue playing in these tournaments to learn the game more. I finished 30 out of 125.
I made a rookie mistake by pushing a couple hands that cracked my good stack at that point. Had I been more patient and played better cards I'm sure I had a good chance to make the final table.
