Had a weekend stopover in Denver and thought I'd check out The Lodge. A lot of good things to say about it overall with a few negatives.
Wasn't too thrilled about the daytime tourney. Just seemed like for the chips you got and the price it wasn't quite worth it. The evening tourney seemed a little more in line. Cash games were a little light too but not bad.
What I thought was great was the comp set up. Getting a $2 comp in this area caught me off guard and regs can kick it up to $4. That is a place that shows me they want to keep players there. Staff treated me very well while I was there too. Dealers were up and down but overall solid. Room has a rustic feel to it. Overall, I liked it.
Food choices were pretty good too. Thank God they had what they did because BlackHawk doesn't have a whole lot of options.
Overall, I had a pretty good experience there.
(As a side note, ditch the creepy looking guy on the website. Looks like Mr. Rogers gone crazy magician.)
